Error after accepting the license agreement: Required runtime libraries may be missing -
Description
When installing Performance Analysis agent installer on a Windows platform, the following error is thrown when accepting the license agreement in the install wizard:
The installer has failed to run.
Required runtime libraries may be incompatible or missing.
Please install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package that matches your platform and restart the installation.The install support.log indicated the following as well:
INFORM: SCException.java:26:logToFiles(): An internal issue has occurred.
Please retry the last operation to continue the installation process. -
Cause
CAUSE 1
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package is not installed.
CAUSE 2
The agent installer EXE file is on a folder with a multibyte name (e.g. Korean).
CAUSE 3
Installer was run from an admin share (e.g. \\myserver\c$\install\) instead of a mapped drive or local copy.

Resolution
WORKAROUND 1
Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package from Microsoft's site.
WORKAROUND 2
Move the agent installer to a location which only contains ASCII characters in the directory name (e.g. c:\temp) and launch it from there.
WORKAROUND 3
Copy the install binary locally to the host being installed upon, or map a fixed drive to the Network location.
