Error received when creating the Spotlight on Oracle user with the Spotlight on Oracle User Wizard:
"No SYSDba users have been found. Please grant SYSDba to a DBA account, and try again."
This error occurs under the following conditions:
"O7_DICTIONARY_ACCESSIBILITY" is set to FALSE
and
"REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE" is set to NONE.
RESOLUTION 1:
Set parameters to the following:
"O7_DICTIONARY_ACCESSIBILITY=TRUE" and
"REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE =SHARED or EXCLUSIVE"
NOTE: This will require a shutdown and startup of the database.
RESOLUTION 2:
If you are not able to shutdown and startup the database, download the version specific manual install script attached to this solution and run the script on the server to create the Spotlight user.
The latest version of Spotlight on Oracle 5.0 ships with the script and readme. Please navigate to the following directory C:Program FilesQuest SoftwareSoO50Plug-insSoOOracleScripts on the client PC to find the scripts and Manual Oracle User Installation Scripts readme file.
After running the manual installation on the server, create the connection in Spotlight Connection Manager.
