Error "[8788-61-1-0000020D] Unable to scan for Notes databases" (4282510)

Whentrying to access a Notes database [Mailfile, Archive or Personal Addressbook] whilst the Domino Server has control over the access.

This would normally be via database link or  folder link configured in the Domino Administration client. The files can be stored on any media and location, however if there is a link to them from the Domino server, then Domino will have control over access.

RESOLUTION 1

Edit the TSV to have the Domino Server name and path in the ArchivePath column

• The format for this is as follows: DominoServerName/Domain!!<PathRelativeToDomino\<ArchiveFilename.nsf>

For example: Server1/CTD!!archives\myarchive.nsf

Then import the TSV back into the collection and then run the Locate Notes Data Stores module.

This will then suggest that that ArchivePath information is available and can be used.

RESOLUTION 2

As the Archives are on a Domino server, there is no need to manually edit the TSV.

When running Locate Notes Data Stores do the following:

• Select the collection to modify
• In the "Specify How to find Notes Archives" screen; chose Scan for Replicas on Server
• Click Next, Enter the Server name and Directory to scan
• Click Next, Select the Archives to add to this collection
• Click Next, Check the box to Examine the ACL to determine the owner. Notes Admins can be added to the exclusion screen.
• Proceed through the next few screens and run the module.
