Job Pool Monitor Timeout -
Description
When the Job Pool Monitor refreshes, after a few minutes a timeout exception is thrown. -
Cause
This happens because there are too many records inside of the SQL table responsible for housing the Job Pool. It typically takes several million records in the pool for this to happen. -
Resolution
1. Navigate to your SQL Server and open the SQL Management Studio.
2. After logging in, click on New Query
3. Run the following query - Delete from [TABLEOWNER].EXCHANGEPAMDAPOOL
- Replace TABLEOWNER with your defined table owner. You can find this by expanding the SQL Database as follows. MAMEXCH --> Tables. The table owner is the left most value preceding the . of and of the table names. Typically it is dbo.
4. Click on Execute
5. Refresh the Job Pool Monitor
This table just holds a list of the items that a job needs to archive. Deleting the records from this table does not delete the message from the users mailbox. After the query is ran, many, if not all of the items that were added, will be added and archived accordingly.
