Title

Replication to the SYSVOL share failed
Description

After a first time installation the initial replication shows a failure to the SYSVOL share. The Replication Log states that “The replication process completed successfully.”
Cause

The Administrator account (belonging to the Administrators group) that is assigned to the Desktop Authority Administrative Service does not have the necessary permissions to write to the Device Policy Master folder in the SYSVOL share.
Resolution

The boxes for ‘Full control’ and ‘Modify’ must be checked and then click Apply | OK. Open the Manager Console and click the replication log and look for the pop-up window to confirm that replication to the SYSVOL completed successfully.
