Error "access denied" occurs when trying to enable the Import Service
Insufficient permissions of the account you are currently logged on with
Login to Central Admin page and perform the actions as per below:
1. Open SharePoint Central Administration
2. Click the Applications Tab
3. Click Policy for Web Application under Application Security
4. Drop-down the SSP Web Application in the Web Application selection
5. Click Add Users
6. Click Next
7. Add your account via Choose Users window
8. Select Full Control for the account
