Can I use my production license in my test environment?
Description

There is a need to test out the software in a lab environment before deploying in production. Will the production license cover running the software in the test environment?
Resolution

According to the US Product Licensing Agreement (http://www.quest.com/sla/Transaction-Product-Agreement.pdf), you are allowed to use your license in production and in non-production environments for testing purposes. Please see the excerpt from the Licensing Agreement Below.

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, Quest grants to Customer, and Customer accepts from Quest, a perpetual (unless otherwise set forth in an Order), non-exclusive, non-transferable (except as otherwise set forth herein) and non-sublicensable license to - (ii) make a reasonable number of additional copies of the Software to be used solely for non-productive archival or passive disaster recovery purposes, provided such copies are kept in a secure location and are not used for production purposes unless the primary copy of the Software is not being used for production purposes.
