Failed to create gpo extension control error when opening the manager console
Description
When opening the Desktop Authority manager the following error message appears:
"CreateControl failure - Failed to create gpo extension control"
The GPO Deployment tab under Deployment Options | Client Deployment is blank as a result.
Cause
The GPO Deployment module may be unreadable, corrupted or may not exist.
Resolution
On the Desktop Authority server, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\ScriptLogic and rename the Modules directory. Open the Desktop Authority manager and the Modules directory will be created along with the necessary modules that may have been missing or corrupted. If the manager opens without the error and the GPO Deployment tab is now viewable, the old Modules directory can be discarded.
