TAA is an acronym for Trade Agreements Act which requires some US Government agencies to use software compiled in the United States. Build 6486 of erwin 9.8 has been compiled with the same source code as build 6485 but on computers based in the territorial US. Build 6486 has no new maintenance, no new functionality, and can be used interchangeably with Build 6485.
If you have created a Mart with Build 6485, you can use Build 6486 with that same Mart and vice versa.
If you have created models with Build 6485, you can work with them in Build 6486 and vice versa.
This is an exception to the general rule of having to use the same mart and models created by the same client builds. The exception was made to provide our customers with erwin 9.8 that is TAA Compliant.
Build 6486 has replaced build 6485 since they are from the same source code and are functionally the same.
If you'd like to know more about what TAA Compliant means, there are many sources available on the web which can be found by searching on "TAA Compliant".
