When trying to publish an MSI ,MST or MSP file in the software distribution selection of the Desktop Authority console, the following error is received. "A connection could not be established with the following Update Server(s): "
This error can be a result of a communication error between the Desktop Authority Manager service and the Desktop Authority console.
On the server were Desktop Authority is installed open the Windows services control panel by clicking Start | Run | and entering Services.msc. Locate the Desktop Authority Manager Service, highlight and restart the service.
Once the service has been restarted launch the Desktop Authority console and verify the software distribution packages can now be published.
