The Update Service is looking at an old DA (Desktop Authority) Manager server to make a backup of register.ini.
In Server Manager, the Update Service Status and Logs show errors and references an old DA server.
The registry values that the Update Service uses did not get updated when the service was reinstalled or upgraded from the new DA Manager server.
On the server were the update service is installed, open the registry via regedit.exe and go to:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\UpdateService
Verify that the new DA Manager Server name is correctly listed in the values:
OpsMaster
OMURL
SMOPublishedPath
Then restart the Update Service via Server Manager, and review the Status and Logs.
