1. Review the Release Notes for the version you want to upgrade to to ensure that upgrade can be done from the existing version. In past versions upgrade to an intermediate version needs to happen first before going to the desired version.
2. Let Spotlight upgrade run for 24 hours before the next upgrade to make sure that the Playback and Statistic Repository are properly sync up with the upgraded version.
3. Back up the following folder from the Diagnostic Server host between each upgrade in case you need to fall back for whatever reason. Please back it up into a different directory.
C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Diagnostic Server
Note: The Diagnostic Server folder contains the connection and setting information.
4. Back up the Playback Database and Statistic Repository between each upgrade.
