How do I register a license key into Toad Data Modeler? How do I transfer a license key to a new user/install?
After installing Toad, register the license key by going to Help | Licensing. Click "Add" and enter in the key and site message.
Toad Data Modeler is included with the Toad for Oracle DBA Edition.
Customers who own a Toad for Oracle DBA Edition license are entitled to use Toad Data Modeler as part of that bundle. The same Toad for Oracle DBA Edition license key can be used to activate Toad Data Modeler, and a separate Toad Data Modeler license is not required.
Toad Data Modeler is included with the Toad for IBM DB2 DBA Edition.
As documented in the official Quest release notes, the Toad for IBM DB2 DBA Edition bundle includes Toad Data Modeler along with other DBA‑level components. Customers who own a Toad for IBM DB2 DBA Edition license are entitled to use Toad Data Modeler, and it can be activated using the Toad for IBM DB2 DBA Edition license without requiring a separate Data Modeler license.
