User name in report has claims prefix (4277308)

When running a variety of different reports with ControlPoint, in some instances, all usernames will return with a prefix similar to "i:0#.w" or "i:0#.f|fbaprovider|" or similar.

ControlPoint is reporting on a scope that uses a form of claims authentication. Claims identities contain prefixes that explain how to evaluate the claim.

1. Open the ControlPoint Configuration Site (e.g. http://servername:1818).
2. Select the ControlPoint Settings list and expand the Actions and Analyses category.

   

3. Edit the "UseCleanedLoginNameInReports" parameter and change its value to True.

   

4. Save the parameter.
5. Recycle the ControlPoint application pool in IIS Manager. This will remove the prefix from the report.
