Description
Customer using the DB2 discovery wizard can successfully validate connectivity of a DB2 instance and database but when proceeding to the next step to discover partitions the screens attempts to load with the horizontal line reaching 72% indications and returns no results in the next screen, ultimately displaying a red error message. connection verification. -
Cause
The foglight database user did not have the required permissions to complete the discovery. A select statement was provided to verify authorizations. The foglight db user was not able to execute the following statement due to permissions SELECT service_level FROM SYSIBMADM.ENV_INST_INFO

Resolution
Per the Cartridge for Foglight DB2 release notes, Sysmon is the required authorization for the db user for monitoring setup. A breakdown of these grants are in the privileges attachment.
