Package shows as corrupt on the import screen after an attempted import on the KSDA appliance -
Description
A package copied into the restore share shows up on the import screen. When you attempt to import it, within a minute or two ( import package size has no influence over this) the import fails and the package now shows on the import list an as status “corrupt” -
Cause
During export, the KSDA did not have enough free space to write out the package file completely. -
Resolution
On the KSDA always maintain 20 GB of free space and insure the amount of free space is greater than the package to be exported. Should there not be enough free space, the package will export but in a truncated form causing package corruption and it cannot be used.
In the above case, free up enough space to cover the size of the object to be exported + 20 GB. Then re-run the export, copy it to its new location and try the import again.
