The effects of employing the Switch User option in Windows 7 and USB/Port Security -
Description
When switching accounts on the same machine (without logging off) where the permissions for the previous user appear for a user who has either different permission sets or no restrictions at all. This is seen when right clicking the USB/Port Security Icon in the Task tray and selecting 'See My Permissions'.

Cause
The 'See My Permissions' option shows an image that displays the permissions the logged in user should have, but this is incorrect as it is actually showing the permissions of the user whose account was logged in when the 'SwitchUser' options was done.

Resolution
Disregard this visual representation of the permissions applied. Unless there is a different issue altogether, the permissions the logged in user should normally have will still be in effect.
