A new installation of Toad for Oracle and Toad Data Point (formerly known as Toad for Data Analysts) was done on a clean machine. Opening Toad Data Point for the first time will show a Trial Key ("License #" Tab). After registering the commercial key and restarting TDP, the trial key is still active.
What happens when the trial key expires?
Can the trial key be deleted?
Important: If you delete the Trial key, any advanced features not included in your purchased edition will be disabled.
Toad for Oracle
As long as the commercial key is also registered, Toad will roll over to the commercial key once the trial period has ended.
If the commercial key is also registered in Toad it will display in another license tab (same window). If not registered yet, click "Change License" and enter in the commercial license key and site message to register.
(Optional) If you would like to, you can delete the trial key from the window:
Select the License tab that shows the trial key, click "Delete License" link.
Toad Data Point
This release includes a 30-day trial key for Pro Edition with Analytics, in addition to your purchased license key.
Any advanced features not included in your purchased edition will be disabled after the 30-day trial period or if you delete the trial key from Licensing.
A Pro Edition with Analytics trial key is active from a recent install or user entry. If a commercial key is available it will automatically apply when the key expires. All active commercial keys are listed below. Please click each tab to view the details.
Caution: You can delete the trial key, however, any advanced features not included in your purchased edition will be disabled.
