User upgraded from Toad 9.0 to Toad 9.5.0.31 and the DBA module sub-menus located under Database menu went missing.
The cause is unknown but it could be that upgrading from Toad 9.0 to 9.5.0.31 is to much of a jump. Usually upgrades support only one version below.
WORKAROUND A: For user who do not have saved connection passwords.
1. Close Toad.
2. In C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files, rename the Toad.ini to Toad.ini_OLD.
3. Launch Toad.
WORKAROUND B: For user who do have many saved connection passwords.
1. Backup your current User Files, located in C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\ to your desktop.
2. In C:\Program Files\Quest Software\Toad for Oracle\User Files, rename the Toad.ini to Toad.ini_OLD.
3. Re-launch Toad to regenerate a new Toad.ini. At this point, the CONNECTIONPWD.ini is reset to zero.
4. Close out of Toad and save the new Toad.ini to your desktop.
5. Copy the entire back-up User Files into the Toad for Oracle folder.
6. Moved the new Toad.ini to the User Files.
This is the only way to get the DBA menus back and still save the saved passwords. You cannot just move the CONNECTIONPWD.ini back.
