Workload Analysis Statement drill down shows incorrect queries running on the database -
Description
The Workload Analysis Statement drill down shows queries running on the database but the queries are not actually being run there. The queries are running on a different database. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
1. Stop the Diagnostic Server service from services.msc
2. Back up the following file to a different directory:
C:\Program Files\Dell (or Quest Software)\Diagnostic Server\Agent\conf\Package\sqlserver_spotlight\2005\LookupSQLText.sql
Note: Please don't back it up into the Diagnostic Server install dir
3. Replace the original one with the LookupSQLText.sql attached in the KB article
STATUS: Issue fixed in the current release of Spotlight on SQL Server Enterprise. Latest version of Spotlight can be downloaded from here
