If you ever wanted to audit who made what changes in Spotlight you can now do so more easily now in Spotlight 11.6. Spotlight keeps track of configuration changes in the Diagnostic Server installation folder in a file called UserActionLog.csv.
By default, it is located here:
C:\Program Files\Dell or Quest Software\Diagnostic Server\Agent\log\UserActionLog.csv
UserActionLog.csv will record the following:
- The Spotlight user making the change.
- The time the change was made.
- The configuration that was changed (if applicable).
- The configuration value before and after the change (if applicable).
For details on the audit log, you can search the Help | Content in Spotlight for the phrase "Log of user actions" or "audit."
