Unexpected error occurred. StoragePoint Configuration Wizard will be closed. -
Description
After installation when configuration wizards starts for StoragePoint. On the System Check screen when click on 'Next' an unexpected error occurred.

Cause
- There are some issues with the SharePoint farm provisioning script and for the Web Front End (WFE) that is in use, the location for logs in the registry was not valid.
- Please check and ensure all servers have valid log location in the registry and try to the run config again.
- The config can be download from here.
- Run the config using the Configuration account .

Resolution
- Navigate to registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server Extensions\16.0\WSS".
- Read property 'LogDir'.
- This path is not accessible to SPDiagnosticsService via user used for StoragePoint installation.
- Evidence in screenshots below.
- Some configuration options, for example, configuration of the SharePoint Server Search query server, require local administration permissions.
- Configuration account must be a member of the local Administrators group on each server in the SharePoint farm.
- Please check and verify if user (UserID) is a member of local Administrators group on all SharePoint servers.
- It seems that SharePoint diagnostics service require higher privileges over the path for ULS logs.
- Additionally, verify if that path in registry exists (It may not exist Or could be on different path for portion Or for all SharePoint servers).
