What permissions are required on the Enterprise Reporter database to be able extend Attributes? -
Cause
If the permissions on the database are incorrectly set then you will not be able to extend the attributes. -
Resolution
Check the permissions Granted to the Discovery_Admin_Role in SQL Management Studio on the Enterprise Reporter Database
- Open SQL Management Studio and browse to the Enterprise Reporter Databse
- Right Click and select Properties on the Database and then chosse Permissions
- For the Discovery_Admin_role highlight and check the following permissions are granted
- Alter Any Schema
- Control
- Create table
That is all that is needed to allow you to extend the Attributes within the product
