Description
Edge is launching automatically during the logon. -
Cause
Some new registry keys were created by the Edge 97.0.1072.55 update, which introduces this unexpected behavior at logon. -
Resolution
Upgrading Edge to Version 97.0.1072.62 will make Edge stop launching at logon.
Keep in mind KACE Desktop Authority is a logon script that will push whatever settings are set in the User Profile during the login process and if there is no element pushing the browser to open during the logon then something else is calling the application. The sltrace log located at C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp\Desktop Authority on the user machine reporting the issue will show all the User Profile settings getting push to the users during the logon.
