How to turn on OpsMaster (Operations Service) Trace Logging (4271696)

• Close the Kace Desktop Authority Manager
• Select Start
• Select Run
• Type "regedit"
• Click OK
• Navigate to:
  • (32Bit) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ScriptLogic
  • (64Bit) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/ScriptLogic

  

• • On the left panel, Click on the ScriptLogic key.
  • On the right panel, Double-click on key OpsMasterTrace
  • Change the Value to "1"
  • Close Regedit

• Restart the Desktop Authority Operations Service
  • Open a Run window and type services.msc to open the  Windows Services Console
  • Look for the Desktop Authority Operations Service
  • Right-click over the service name and select Restart
  • Close Services window
  • Close the Windows Services Console window 

• Open Desktop Authority Manager

• Reproduce any error you are investigating.

• Locate the logs created

Navigate to:

\Program Files (x86)\Quest\Desktop Authority\Desktop Authority Manager\OpsMasterTraceLog

Listed in this folder are the Trace files for the Desktop Authority Manager server, such as:

ETL.htm

ScriptLogic.OpsMaster.OpsMasterService.htm

ScriptLogic.Reporting.htm

• Yes. After you have finished trouble shooting the issue, be sure to turn off trace logging by changing the OpsMasterTrace registry key back to “0”.
