SQL Server Failover monitoring setup with AG Listener does not show DTC info
Description
The SQL Sever Failover monitoring setup using the 2012 AG Listener does not show DTC info and throws the following error:
"DTC information for the OS cannot be collected. Windows connection details have not been set up."
Cause
2012 AG Listener is not supported in Spotlight for monitoring SQL Server Failover Cluster because AG listener doesn’t work like a conventional SQL Server instance with regard to system DMVs.
Resolution
Monitoring of AG should be done only from "Availability Group" feature in Spotlight and not trying to setup a SQL Server Failover monitoring in Spotlight.
