Sending results to Excel, Export did not find any results sets to process. -
Description
User cannot export result from a Stored Procedure (SP) using Export to Excel instance or Excel file.
User can export via Export Wizard.
User can export a simple query to Export to Excel instance or Excel file.
Description of generated message:
"Toad for SQL Server
Export did not find any results sets to process."
How to replicate issue:
1) Run a procedure.
2) Enter in the parameters.
3) Generate result Set
4) Right click on Data Set and select Export to Excel | Excel Instance | Excel Instance.... -
Cause
It is a by-product of defect ID ST42272, which changed the way running SP.
It was sent the script to editor first and executed. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
Right click on Data Set and select Export | Export Wizard...
Follow the wizard screens.
STATUS:
Waiting for a fix to be released in a future version of Toad for SQL Server. -
