Description
You find the below error in sql server error logs
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS spidNN Error: 50000, Severity: 18, State: 1
YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS spidNN SQL LiteSpeed: The system detected a possible attempt to compromise security. Please ensure that you can contact the server that authenticated you. LiteSpeed could not open the Backup file: (\\XXXXNNN\path_to_file.XXXXX.bak). The previous system message is the reason for the failure. .
and in the System event viewer
The Security System detected an authentication error for the server domain/user_name. The failure code from authentication protocol Kerberos was "The referenced account is currently disabled and may not be logged on to. -
Resolution
These errors are being caused by or related to windows domain user.
