System shuts down instead of restarting -
Description
When users click Start | Shutdown, workstations shut down instead of restart even though there is a General element with “Always restart computer, even if shut down is selected” setting enabled.
Please note that this article only applies to the setting within the General element. If using the Desktop Agent setting under Global Options | User Management Options, when the above setting is enabled, it should prevent shut down for all non-Vista and x64 workstations regardless of the General element setting.

Cause
Desktop Authority takes no action to restart the computer when shut down is selected unless a General element is set to change the default behavior validates at Logoff or the Global Option’s Desktop Agent setting for “Always restart computer, even if shut down is selected” is enabled.

Resolution
The General element with the setting “Always restart computer, even if shut down is selected” must be enabled and the Validation Logic for timing should be set to include LOGOFF. In addition, the profile that it resides in must also have the Validation Logic for timing set to include LOGOFF. -

Important Note: The option: "Always restart computer, even if shutdown is selected" was removed on version 10.2 from the Global Options and the General object element.
