After reinstalling Spotlight on Messaging with a new install path the Diagnostic Console will not connect when opened from the Spotlight on Messaging MMC console.
The Diagnostic Console will connect properly when opened from the shortcut in the Program Files menu.
Registry value for "Spotlight" do not change if SOM is reinstalled with a new install path.
Open regedit and check the following location.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Quest Software\Spotlight\
Check the following strings "InstallPath" and "Path"
The values should reflect the current install path.
Example if Spotlight on Messaging is installed on the D:\ drive the values for "Path" and "InstallPath" should be:
Path="D:\Program Files\Quest Software\Spotlight\Console\Spotlight.exe"
InstallPath=D:\Program Files\Quest Software\Spotlight\
