Logon delays due to Desktop Authority Launching Outlook through COM call (4267994)

Although there is no Outlook client element validating, there is a logon delay because Desktop Authority launches Outlook through COM to finish creating the mail profile. There will also be a message in trace file stating “-Skipping Outlook configuration until outlook has been launched once…”

Upon login and launching of the SLOGIC.bat script, DA (Desktop Authority) is looking to create or search for a mail profile associated with login user.

Add the global variable definition line that forces DA not to launch COM for Outlook.

In the Desktop Authority Manager console, go to Client Configuration | Global Options | User Management Options | Definitions

Add the following line to definitions:
$DontLaunchCOMOutlook=1

Save changes and replicate changed files.
