How to create a new Service Domain for Generic Application
Solution:
Create a Service Domain

1. Go to Maintenance | General | Service Domain.
2. Enter a name in the Generic Application Label column if you want to use a different label name. Here you can see all the columns when creating a new Service Domain.

Create an Application
3. Go to Maintenance | Domain Specific | Applications

4. Select your newly created Service Domain.
5. Click the New button.
6. Enter the Application Code, Description and select Generic Applications in the Application Tab column if you are configuring for Generic Apps.

Create CSR Types and Statuses
7. Go to Maintenance | Domain Specific | CSR Types and Statuses.

8. Select the Service Domain. Click theNew button

9. Enter the CSR Type Cd and Description
10. Check Use Default column
11. Click Apply button
12. Now double click on Def CSR Type Cd
13. Click New and type in the CSR Status Cd column.

Create a Generic Application Connection
14. Go to Maintenance | General | Generic Application Connect

15. ClickNew
16. Enter Environment cd, Description, choose N/A if the Stat db is not Oracle

| Database Server | The name of the DB server housing the Stat Repository. Format for this entry is DBMS-specific. |
| Srv Logon ID | The login ID used for Stat login to the environment. Not used by ODBC. |
| Server Pwd | The password associated with the Srv Logon ID |
| Host Name | Name of the machine hosting the database Required value for the Stat Server. |
| Service Name | For generic applications running on Oracle, the listener service of the database. Used by the Stat Agent to establish JDBC connections to the Oracle database. Required value for the Stat Server. |
| DB Listener Port | Port number for the database listener. |
Create CSR Priorities
17. Go to Maintenance | Domain Specific | CSR Priorities

Create Work Queues
18. Go to Maintenance | Domain Specific | Work queues | Queue definition

19. Click New and enter Queue Cd, Description and select queue owner
20. Click Membership to assign a queue to a specific member

Create Migration Path
21. Go to Maintenance | Domain Specific | Generic Applications Migration Path

22. Select the Service Domain. Click the New button and enter Migration Cd, Description, select Base Object Source and Development Environment.

Create Object Types
23. Go to Maintenance | General | Object Types.


You should be able to create a CSR like this if everything is configured properly with the new generic service domain


24. Add Objects to the CSR
