How do I enter a new authorization key in Spotlight on Oracle?
To enter a new authorization key
You can enter a new authorization key from either Spotlight on Oracle itself, or from Quest Central itself. To enter a new authorization key from Spotlight on Oracle:
Spotlight version 4.5 and previous:
1. From the "Help" menu, select "About Spotlight".
2. Click the "Spotlight Modules" tab. The Spotlight Modules page specifies all the Spotlight applications that are currently installed on your system.
3. Locate and click on the "Spotlight on Oracle" item.
4. Click "Edit License".
5. Enter the new Authorization key and Site message and then click "OK".
6. Exit and restart Spotlight for the new key to take effect.
Spotlight version 5.0 and later:
1. From the "Help" menu, select "About Spotlight".
2. Click the "Spotlight Modules" tab. The Spotlight Modules page specifies all the Spotlight applications that are currently installed on your system.
3. Locate the Spotlight version you are licensed
a. Spotlight on Oracle Standard => choose Spotlight on Oracle
b. Spotlight on Oracle/RAC => choose Spotlight on Oraclen RAC
c. Spotlight on Oracle Xpert => choose Spotlight on Oracle Xpert
4. Click "View/Change License".
5. Enter the new Authorization key and Site message and then click "OK".
6. Exit and restart Spotlight for the new key to take effect.
