Error after recent Microsoft patches: "soo5049 : The following error occurred in "<CONNECT -
Description
After installing recent security patches that Microsoft released, and it appears to have broken Spotlight.
Im running the latest version 7.1.0.1481
Spotlight starts normally, but when I try to start a database connection I get this error:
soo5049 : The following error occurred in "<CONNECTION>" during connection:
Assertion failure (C:\Spotlight Console\MDK\2.0\Plugins\RepositoryLW\LightweightRepository.pas, line 822)

Resolution
WORKAROUND 1
Delete and re-create the connection profile.
WORKAROUND 2
Delete the XML repository data by going to View | Options | History | Repository Management and click on the "Clear All" button.
