When installing Toad Data Point on a machine the following message is received.
"Installer Information
The Toad installer has detected an existing 32-bit DB2 environment on your computer.
This installation of Toad includes a 64-bit client. However, DB2 does not allow both 32-bit and 64-bit DB2 environments to exist on the same computer."
If a 32-bit DB2 client is already installed, a 64-bit DB2 client cannot be installed on the same machine. Toad for DB2 installs a client with the application and the bit version depends on what version of the installer was downloaded.
RESOLUTION #1:
Use the 32-bit Toad Data Point installer, instead of the 64-bit installer.
RESOLUTION #2:
Uninstall the 32-bit DB2 client currently installed on the machine.
