The Administrator guide mentions deploying the utility via a logon script and only mentions adding the CPUU .bat or CPUU .bat file. Is this the only file needed or are there any other files required for the tool to be able to run successfully?
The Client Profile Updating Utilitydocumentation is missing the relevant information when explaining how to deploy the tool but the information form other parts of the document can be used.
Having the batch file only is not enough and will not work. The executable and all other files will be needed and should be located in the same folder where the exe file is located.
You will find all the files on the computer that the CPUU configuration wizard was installed on, in the following default path:
C:\Program Files\Quest\Client Profile Updating Utility
Please copy all the files (including the DLL's, INI, exe's, the entire folder content) to the folder you created on the NetLogon share or where the batch file is located.
To cover all possible scenarios all files will be required.
CPUU with a valid and accessible UNC path to its location, it will fail with the following error:
'CPUU .exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. or
'ClientProfileUpdatingUtility.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. or
