Is there an alarm for when the FMS HTTPS certificate is about to expire? (4265197)

Is there rule to generates an alarm when the HTTPS/SSL certificate used by the Foglight Management Server (FMS) is soon to expire?

Yes. Foglight includes a built‑in rule named FMS HTTPS Certificate Expiration Checking that monitors the expiration date of the HTTPS certificate used by the Foglight Management Server (FMS).

By default, this rule generates an alarm when the certificate is scheduled to expire within 30 days.

Example alarm message:

HTTPS Certificate about to Expire. The FMS HTTPS Certificate will expire within 30 days.

To modify the threshold (for example, alert at 60 days instead of 30), the registry variable FMS.Https.Certificate.RemainDaysThreshold.Warning can be modified from the Rules dashboard:

1. Navigate to the Administration > Rules & Notifications > Rules dashboard.
2. Search for the rule FMS HTTPS Certificate Expiration Checking.
3. Click on the current threshold value, specify the desired value and then Update to save changes.

Alternatively, if the alarm is not required for the environment, it can be disabled by selecting the rule from the Rules dashboard and then choosing Disable.
