Can MessageStats report on number of mailboxes for each primary SMTP domain in the Organisation? (4262034)

In an environment where there are multiple SMTP domains in use is it possible to obtain a report on number of mailboxes for each of these SMTP domains?

e.g. there may be the following SMTP domains: company.com, acquiredcompany.com, mergedcompany.com, etc.

Can MessageStats generate a report displaying the number of mailboxes where the primary smtp address is from one of these smtp domains?

e.g.

Domain - No of Mailboxes
----------------------------------
company.com - 100
acquiredcompany.com - 55
mergedcompany - 200

STATUS

This is no currently feasible in MessageStats. Enhancement Request TF00291005 has been raised for this feature to be included in a future release of MessagetStats

WORKAROUND 1

Create separate custom reports - one for each of these SMTP domains - in the following way:

1. Datasource: Inventory Reports - Primary Mailboxes
2. Fileds: Mailbox Email
3. Filter: Mailbox Email contains 'company.com'
4. Format: Advanced Summary Calculations | check count box (to display only numbers)

WORKAROUND 2

1. Create one report Inventory | Mailboxes | Primary Mailboxes.
2. Export it in Excel to manipulate it further based on the Mailbox Email field
