Licensing, Error when entering authorization key: "Invalid Invalid License key or site message". -
Description
User returns message "Invalid key" or "Invalid Invalid License key or site message" when trying to register authorization key in Toad for DB2.

Cause
1. Toad for DB2 authorization keys and site messages are case sensitive.The Toad for DB2 authorization key should look like a long string containing characters and numbers.

2. Commercial license keys are only accepted in commercial editions of Toad and cannot be used in trial editions.

Resolution
The latest version of Toad for DB2 can be downloaded at the Quest Software Support Portal.

Additional Information
The installer requires the license key during installation. Only a trial key can be entered into a trial installer and only a commercial key can be entered into a commercial installer.
