When restoring Contacts folder into a new PST file the restored folder appears to have the usual Mail items icon and the properties of the folder appear to be as containing mail items instead of contact items. Opening the contact items also reveals that fields are missing.
STATUS
Waiting for fix in a future release of Recovery Manager for Exchange.
WORKAROUND
Restore all the folders to a single PST file (Restore to a Registered Storage) and then restore from the .pst to separate PST files
