TDP 3.2 and Vertica 6.1.1 ODBC Driver do not handle UTF 8 Characters properly
Description

Using Toad data point 3.3 and the Vertica ODBC Driver Version 6.1.1.
UTE-8 characters do not display correctly when a query is run against database columns that have UTF-8 characters.
They do display correctly the connection to Vertica is with the older, now obsolete, Vertica 4.1 ODBC Drivers.
Resolution

Vertica now requires to add "ColumnsAsChar=0" in the ConnectionString in the Information section.
