Can alternate credentials be setup in SoM Console? (4260348)

Can alternate credentials be setup in Spotlight on Messaging Diagnostic Console so that no matter what account is used to launch the application these set credential are used instead to connect to Exchange?

This would be helpful in a helpdesk scenario where helpdesk users can view the Console without having to have admin rights on the Exchange and SoM servers.

STATUS

This is not currently feasible in SoM. Enhancement Request TF00066491 has been raised for this and will be evaluated by our Product team for inclusion in a future release of Spotlight on Messaging. Also TF111616 Support connecting with alternate credentials in Diagnostic Console has been raised for this issue as well.


WORKAROUND

Use the console in Help Desk mode as described in the Spotlight on Messaging Data Recorder User Guide.
