SharePlex version information is required to confirm the Source and Target’s compatibility in replication. Version information also helps in determining the patchset during upgrade.
General information.
‘Version full’ command in SharePlex reveals the current SharePlex version details including the patchset.
sp_ctrl (alvsupu15:8497)> version full
SharePlex Version = 8.0.1-b20 (m64, oracle100)
The digits in the version are separated by a period (.). Version is uniquely identified by the first three digits in the ’version full’ output or in the name of the SharePlex binary's tar file. Numbers followed by the character ‘b’ in the versoin information is the patchset of that version.
Following are some of the examples of ‘version full’ outputs in versions prior to 7.x:
3.2.12.11 (version is 3.2.12, and patch is 3.2.12.11)
4.0.16.14 (version is 4.0.16 and patch is 4.0.16.14)
5.3.4.65 (version is 5.3.4 and patch is 5.3.4.65)
6.1.0.21 (version is 6.1.0 and patch is 6.1.0.21)
