UPN Suffix of source domain users changed by QMM synchronization -
Description
QMM was configured without PSO involvement and now source domain users are affected by unexpected changes, like UPN suffix or other attributes -
Cause
Synchronization was configured 2way and "Attributes to Skip" section was not properly configured -
Resolution
To resolve the issue, please stop Synchronization before doing any changes to it.
The 1st thing to consider is: is it really necessary to have 2way synchronization as opposed to source->target one (1way)? 2way synchronization may be inadvertently enabled when target domain OUs were selected. However sometimes it's required when, for example, users' passwords need to be synced back to the source.
After that please populate "Skip Attributes" section with necessary attributes as well as synchronization direction for these attributes.
Please note, that any changes in Synchronization settings mandate full re-sync, which may be undesirable sometimes.
