Normally theexported .ini file will contain all migrated users and cannot be modified manually. However, there is a workaround:
QMM 8.3 and below:
Open the Resource Updating Manager (RUM) by selecting the Tools from the menu then Resource Processing and select Resource Updating Manager...
On the menu go to Actions|Specify Custom Map;
Select the user or users who were migrated that you would like to test with;
Click OK
Close RUM;
Now back at the main window of the Migration Manager Console,go toTools | Export to | INI File...
In the drop down box next to Wizard name: select the arrow and then select Resource Updating; next select where the INI file is to be placed (i.e. Desktop); near the bottom near the OK button, clear the Create compressedcheckbox. Select the OK button.
NOTE: Selecting any of the other possible INI file formats will not produce an INI file containing the custom map. Only the Resource Updating will produce it as you created the custom map in RUM.
This will create an INI file called VMover.ini which will contain the user or users you have selected. Copy this file and the SPW.exe to the SharePoint server you wish to test on and run the SPW.exe there.
Any version:
On Migration console right clickTasks and select any task on the list except Resource Updating Manager.
Go through the wizard accepting the default options, give task a nameand select Save task configuration only. Task will be saved then.
Select saved task underTasks node and click Select Objects to Process Resources.
Pick migrated test objects and click OK.
While having task selected, go toTools | Export to | INI File ...
The resulted INI file can be used in conjunction with SPW.EXE directly on SharePoint server that needs to be updated.
