While using the Archive Manager Search Exporter Tool to export messages to a PST, you receive an error:
Failed to create personal storage.
This type of storage may not be available on your computer/
Please select another type.
This message may occurs while trying to create both a Unicode or an Outlook 2000 format PST.
Outlook is installed and working correctly.
The MAPI32.DLL file on your computer is not the correct version.
This may occur after installing the Exchange System Management Tools on the computer after installing Outlook.
1. Close Outlook.
2. Double-click the fixmapi.exe program from the C:\Windows\System32 directory. This will re-install the correct Outlook version of MAPI32.DLL back to the computer.
NOTE: Outlook is not supported on the Archive Manager Server. Do not perform Fixmapi.exe on the Archive Manager Server.
This error may also occur if you are running Search Exporter 4.0.5 with Outlook 2002.
Outlook 2002 is not supported by Search Exporter 4.0.5. Please use Outlook 2003 and above.
