Error: No downlevel name for the domain <domain> could be found while communicating with the domain controller <DCName> (4255718)

When trying to add a remote domain to the managed domains in Access Explorer, the following error occurs:

"No downlevel name for the domain <domain> could be found while communicating with the domain controller <DCName>. Ensure that both DNS and downlevel (pre-Windows 2000) names for the domain can be contacted"

WORKAROUND:

Ensure each domain trusts the other (the domain where Enterprise Reporter is installed and the remote domain you wish to add to Access Explorer). Also ensure the service account you specify when adding the remote domain to the Managed Domains is an account from the remote domain and has sufficient rights in that domain.

STATUS:

Enhancement request TF00423346 (To be able to add a remote domain without a trust) has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of Enterprise Reporter.
