Can the value for the LegacyExchangeDN attribute of the Exchange Organization or the Admininstrative Groups be blank?
Can MessageStats be configured to ignore such a scenario in order to connect to an Exchange Organization?
No. LegacyExchangeDN is an indispensable value for MessageStats to connect to the Exchange Organization
To check the value of the LegacyExchangeDN of the Administrative Group do the following:
1. Launch ADSIEdit.msc
2. Connect to the 'Configuration' naming context. Right-click on the top node | Connect to... | In the 'Connection point' section click on the 'Select a well known Naming Context' and from the drop down choose 'Configuration'. Click OK.
3. Expand Configuration | Services | Microsoft Exchange. Right-click on the Exchange Organization name | Properties | scroll down to check or edit the value of the 'LegacyExchangeDN' attribute.
4. Continue expanding Administrative Groups and right-click on the name of the Administrative groups | Properties | Scroll down to 'LegacyExchangeDN' attribute.
