When attempting to install Toad 9.5, the following error message occurs:
The installation of component MicrosoftNetFramework20 has failed.
Products affected by this failure are;
Toad for Oracle
Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle
Knowledge Xpert for PL/SQL
Knowledge Xpert for Oracle Administration
1603
The installation will now abort -
Cause
Installer was unable to install the Microsoft .Net Framework version 2.0

Resolution
1. Per Install Shield Consumer Central, this is an Install Shield error (not a Toad for Oracle error). Follow the instructions listed on the below link:

2. Install all available Microsoft Updates.
