Rich Text Format (RTF) emails may not reconstruct correctly after they have been archived. This might be especially true when these email have attachments and/or signatures which contain images.
If the config key "RTF HTML Converter" is set in AM Config Editor with a value of 1 then the message of the body and any attachment come up reconstructed but any embedded objects (such as images in the signature file) do not reconstruct correctly. They may be displayed as a table with table cells containg the various parts of the signature.
If the config key "RTF HTML Converter" is missing or has value of 0 in the AM Config Editor then the originally RTF email is invoked but the message of the body is missing.
STATUS
This has been identified as a defect. Bug ID TF00312929 has been raised for this to be addressed in a future release of Archive Manager. This specific defect is dependent though on 3rd party implementation of addressing this issue.
WORKAROUND
Instruct users to use HTML messages instead of RTF. This workaround will of course apply on newly created messages. Any previously created RTF messages will still be affected by this issue.
